Thank you very much! That will make things much easier.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you mind making 3 more kinds of infoboxes? The one you already made applies only to the promoted ranged units (Skystriker, Siege Archer, and Bowmaster). Here's the layout I'd like for the base ranged units. The other two would be for the base and promoted melee units, and would be the same as the base and promoted ranged units except for replacing the "Range" category with "Movement Range", removing the "Movement" and "Attack" subcategories, and making the value cell beneath have a colspan of 2.
Thanks again!

Hi again
Done ... So i changed the name of the first template to "PromotedRangedUnit", the base template is just "RangedUnit", and the Melee templates are "MeleeUnit" and "PromotedMeleeUnit". — Game widow (talk) 21:54, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've left a few more notes and musings on your talk page
Thanks!
Looks perfect! --Gudmundr (talk) 22:45, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Oh, one last thing: is it possible to make it so that the links embedded in the icons in the infobox can be changed? I'm thinking it would be more streamlined if, for instance, on the Bowmaster page, clicking on the icon for Puncture led here instead of here. What do you think?--Gudmundr (talk) 23:37, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
- I don't think that's a problem, as long as you always format the titles the same way :) — Game widow (talk) 23:54, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
- Cool! I am going to format them all the same way, but I haven't gotten around to that yet, so most of them aren't formatted correctly at this point. The pattern I will always follow is this: ==Active(/Passive) Ability: (Ability name)==. What would be optimal is if the Passive ability icons always redirected to the ability description on that unit's base class's page, if possible.
- There should be no need for special permission, they're just regular pages whose names begin with the word "Template", so Template:RangedUnit, Template:PromotedRangedUnit, Template:MeleeUnit and Template:PromotedMeleeUnit, if you get some sort of message saying you don't have sufficient rights, do let me know and i'll grant them — Game widow (talk) 00:26, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
Infobox Template Editing
I had a another question about the source code of the Unit infobox. I've been able to figure out how to make most of the changes I wished to make, but the last one is eluding me. I'd like to have a cell beneath the current bottom-most cell, that contains the text "Class: [[(class)]] " (including the link to the page with the name of the class), but, for ease of use, I'd like to make (class) dependent upon the "passive" variable, like this:
If passive is | Then (class) should = |
---|---|
Shield Wall | Raider |
Puncture | Archer |
Return the Favor | Shieldbanger |
Heavy Impact | Warrior |
Is this possible? Thanks! --Gudmundr (talk) 16:43, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hi there, sorry i didn't see your message sooner. I believe i've added what you wanted. Do let me know if that's not what you meant. — Game widow (talk) 16:55, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! That's great! But there's one thing I'd like to add. I realized when I looked at the base unit pages that this:

Raider Class: Raider
- is a bit redundant. Is it possible to set it up so that if 'promoted' = yes, then it shows what it shows now, but if 'promoted' = no, then the cell under PAGENAME does not show up at all? I've tried to mimic the code from other sections, but I can't seem to get it right. Thanks again for all your help! --Gudmundr (talk) 17:25, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yep! totally possible. I'm on it :) — Game widow (talk) 17:37, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- That's perfect! I don't think we'll need to make any more changes to that infobox in the foreseeable future.
