Expert Mode is an option for Quick and Ranked matches available in the Great Hall. In Expert Mode, the turn-timer is set to 30 seconds, rather than the 45 seconds of the default timer. Activating Expert Mode gives you a +2 Renown bonus per match, win or lose. Players who choose Expert Mode can still be matched against other players who are using the default timer mode. The Expert Mode is activated by default for Tournament matches.
