Background[edit | edit source]

A serious man, Petrus is the captain of King Meinolf's city guard, a new way of doing things, but crucial for a city that has sprawled into a bigger urban landscape than has ever been seen before. Petrus rose quickly to his rank, thanks to his methodical personality and his dedication to keeping the King safe. He knows the inner workings of Arberrang better than nearly anyone else alive.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Active Ability: Reinforcements[edit | edit source]

Petrus calls upon one of his loyal men-at-arms to come to the defense of the party.
Rank 1: Summon a warrior to target location within 2 tiles of Petrus.
Summoned stats: 12 ARM, 12 STR, 10 WIL, 2 EXE, 2 BRK, Ability: text_top Stone Wall

As a summoning ability, Reinforcements has no upper ranks and can only be used once per battle.
When the warrior enters the battlefield, he goes next in your turn order as if Forge Ahead had been used.
Timing is key to success.

Active Ability: Run Through[edit | edit source]

The character selects a target and through multiple tiles to reach them, causing 2 armor Break damage to each character he runs through.
He then stops behind his target and stabs them for normal strength damage.
Rank 1: Run through 2 tiles
Rank 2: Run through 3 tiles
Rank 3: Run through 4 tiles
This allows the character to move through both friend and foe, giving him the highest mobility of anyone on the board.
He is most useful when hunting down ranged or weakened enemies hiding in the back rows.
Bloodyflail icon.png

Active Ability: Bloody Flail[edit | edit source]

The character strikes multiple times, randomly hitting his opponent for 1 strength or 1 armor damage.
On the last hit, Bloody Flail does damage equal to 1 plus 1 for each ally standing adjacent to him. This last hit will randomly damage strength or armor.
Rank 1: 4 strikes total
Rank 2: 5 strikes total
Rank 3: 6 strikes total
Bloody flail does direct damage, making it useful even when the character is near death.
For this reason it also does a great job of taking out wounded enemies who still have a lot of armor by bypassing it completely.

Passive Ability: Shield Wall[edit | edit source]

By standing next to an ally, the character creates a Shield Wall, raising the armor of both himself and his ally by 1. This bonus remains until the raider is no longer adjacent to the ally.
When multiple raiders stand next to each other this effect is magnified as they each grand each other their own bonus.
Four raiders standing in a square formation will give each an additional 4 armor.
Summoning Petrus's Reinforcements adjacent to himself can prevent a killstrike by granting him (and the summoned raider) 2 armor.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Petrus is the only Raider to have three active abilities
  • While most Raiders have 4 movement, Petrus has only 3. This may be in part why he's denoted as Guard Captain instead of Raider in-game
