Kivi is a Dredge Stoneguard with a talent for carving stone and building bridges - the latter figuratively, of course. He's available to players who pre-ordered or participated in The Banner Saga 3's Kickstarter.

Background[ | ]
What would normally be an intimidating foe has found safety with Alfrun in Strand. He's uneasy around others, but his natural ability to destroy warped enemies makes him alright in the Raven's book.
He belongs to the second generation of Dredge that are more susceptible to peace than the first one, since the former were made just to kill and destroy.

Active Ability: Kindle[ | ]
- The character slams the ground, sending all around him back and damaging their armor severely,
- dealing full break damage on hit and 1 more for each tile targets are pushed.
- Rank 1: Knocks back 3 tiles
- Rank 2: Knocks back 4 tiles
- Rank 3: Knocks back 5 tiles
- As with most dredge abilities, this damages indiscriminately and must be used with care.
- Since friendly Stoneguards' Kindle abilities deal full break, equipping break items can make this ability devestating.

Active Ability: Drumfire[ | ]
- The character sends a shockwave through the earth, damaging the armor of non-dredge caught
- in its path and churning up molten ash that burns any unlucky enough to step out on it.
- Rank 1: -1 ARM from spray, -1 STR per tile
- Rank 2: -2 ARM from spray, -1 STR per tile
- Rank 3: -3 ARM from spray, -1 STR per tile
- This ability must be used carefully, as dredge, including warped, have their armor healed by the effect.

Passive Ability: Custom Armor[ | ]
- Kivi's armor was specially made by him.
- Resists 1 STR and 1 ARM per attack.
Caravan Presence[ | ]
Kivi joins the caravan after a battle with Warped enemies in Strand's great hall in Chapter 17: Raising High Their Shining Light alongside Alfrun. He comes equipped with a unique item.
If the player didn't pre-order or support The Banner Saga 3's Kickstarter, Kivi won't appear.
Possible Death or Departure[ | ]
If you lose the battle against Bolverk in Chapter 21, Kivi is no longer present in Iver's party, presumably killed alongside the Ravens.
Trivia[ | ]
- In the the first game, there was another pre-order hero, Tryggvi.
- Kivi's combat sprite is identical to Dredge Stoneguard Defender's.
